MTR Lalbagh

After watching the INDIA’s best motion picture Baahubali,

It was time to Eat in one of Bangalore’s best MTR Lalbagh

I have been to this place, but this time it was for Dinner.

I have added the photo of the menu which was served to me.

It was a total of 19 tastiest dishes
To start with it was already 9.15 PM and there was less people to my surprise, No crowd, Took coupons for dinner and it was served in the first floor
Had to wait for 5 minutes as they were cleaning the tables.
So lets start tasting.
A clean plate was placed on table with multiple compartments for different dishes.
Mango pickle, Yummy and tasty
Shavige Payasa, I am selective in sweets, This was fresh, Fresh Milk, Shavige was not stickey, it had cashew’s as well and it was really yummy and not too sweet.
Carrot kosambari, I do not prefer this on any south meal, But to my own surprise i finished everything which was served.
Chutney was served, and later Masala dosa was served, Dosa was not hard, Soft and tasty and not too much oil/ghee. Could smell Ghee , Chutney was thick and tasty. Both went well together
Beans Palya, It was different compared to other South Meals, Taste was good
Bombay saagu and Hot Poori, My Fav Saagu was served with poori, what more i could ask for, In no time i finishes three poori’s and they were soft and so tastyyyyyy.
Halwa was served, As i mentioned , i am selective in sweets, Just tasted a spoon and it was simply so good.
Ambvode and gojju, It was tangy, Spicy and gojju was so good with Ambvode
The best dish of the evening, Capsicum Vangibath and Raitha I got tht OMG feeeeling after i tasted the first spoon,Please dont miss this, You can ask them to serve 2-3 times, You cant simply stop eating this.Papad was served as well
White rice was served with Ladies finger Sambar and Rasam, Both were tasty, I liked Rasam more than the sambar.
Curd rice was served, It was summer, night 9PM , Still it was fresh, Thanks for that.
Finally Fruit salad was served with Icecream.
It was a Baaaaaahubali meal in MTRRRRRRRRRRR
All those who were serving us, must really appreciate them,Even after me requesting to serve 2-3 times, they always came back with a happy smile on there face, they were happy to serve customers.Thank you so much for showing that much love on your customers.
Food is always great here
I am giving 5 Star only for there service

Om Shiva Shakti Chats Centre

This is located near By2Coffee in Basavanagudi… Well it was all started on a stall near BMS college by Gopal (Hope I remember his name correctly) , i have been eating here since 10+ years,

Floating Pani Puri and Chilli Cheese Sandwich are my all time favorite….

Not much to write as this place needs no introduction

Polamma’s Mess (Opp. Christ College)

Andhra Poppu Kuura, Its Simply Finger Licking Good, I stay in Basavanagudi and this Mess is in Kormangala, so simply Swiggy/Zomato it.

Two wonderful things i have tasted here, Andhra Poppu, Plain Dosa and two Chutney’s

Dosa we get only during Evenings, It will still be still soft after 35-40 minutes of travel and it goes well with the two Chutney’s

Poppu if you order around 12PM by the time it reaches my home in Basavanagudi it will be pipping hot. Hot Poppu with White Rice , Ghee and Bhajji OMG OMG its heaven, We all at home Visit this Heaven once every month. Looking forward to have a dining experience.

Sandwichwallas

t was raining heavy and no food at home, many other restaurants denied saying that the food on the menu was not available, but these guys were so prompt about what all options they had on a rainy evening. I ordered club sandwich, wedges, Exotica Pizza and Garlic Bread. Everything was so perfectly made and delivered on time, it was cold, but I agree it was raining and next time I am sure it would be delivered hot. Club sandwich was fresh not burnt and it showed it was not made in hurry, Pizza was really good, Base was thick and all the veggies were fresh And juicy, garlic bread had enough cheese to make it tasty. Hero of the evening was Wedges. Tooooo good for that weather, it had enough spiciness and was soft as well. I will definitely order from this place again !!!!

The Punjabi Rasoi

Punjabi Food at its Best !!!

Need a quick Lunch before heading for a movie !! Here it is Punjabi Rasoi !!

It was me and my friend visited this place around 2 and it was crowded, Waited for 5 minutes for the table.

We ordered Gobi Tandoori for starter, It was Spicy, Gobi was coated with lots of Masala and it was cooked !! Tasted very good.

Then it was Paneer Tikka Masala, It was mentioned as spicy , but i didnt feel any spicyness, But the Capsicum,Paneer was very fresh, and when i took a bite of that capsicum i could feel the freshness, If you are veggi then defi try this , Butter Kulcha was too small and it was over after two bites !!! And my Best Zeera Rice, Made with Basmathi Rice, Not Stickey at all, Tasted awesome !!! This is how i like a Zeera Rice to be made !! A defi try as well !!

King of the Noon, Sweet Lassi, It was not tooo sweet, Rose Flavour added taste to the Drink, A perfect way to finish a Nice Lunch !!!

Please do Visit and Enjoy a tasty Punjabi Food !!!

Birthday Lunch !!

It was crowded and full at 3 PM on sunday, Waited for 15-20 minutes for the table.

Wait was worth, Started with cake cutting as it was niece birthday, thanks for the management and they played the birtrhday song as well.

Jal Jeera

Lemon Coriander Soup,, it was watery, tangy , a bit spicy and tasted very good, please try this if you like bit of tanginess.

Paneer Makai Seekh, Paneer was well marinated and skewed, i could taste the burnt and smell burnt dish, i mean it was in a good sense, it tastes good that way.

Sholey Tikka, KInd of kabad, It was dry, may be it is prepared this way, Pudina chutney , onion and Tikka pakka combination.

Kadai veg with stuffed Kulcha, What a combination, simply finger licking good.

Subzi Tawa Biryani , OMG, I can still feel the flavours in mouth, Its still watering, I would definatly visit again only for this dish.

Overall a very good meal.

But they mentioned that the kitchen was closing so all the dishes were placed on table and they were bit cold, I prefer cold, but not others, I request management to change this and think of a different statergy and also close the restaurant and not the Kitchen first.

Also they have a special Service TAX, Not good, No Arguments this time.

24th Main

Parents Anniversary Treat !!

We planned for a buffet than a Al-A-Cart
Menu was available on the table and it was plenty in offeringWelcome Drink, Pudina Lime .

Starting with the Soup, We had two options Bale Dindu Soup and a Kerala Special Poondu Karuveppilai Saaru, ,As the name suggessts it was Saaru/Rasam rather than a Soup, It was spicy, Hot and tasty a perfect way to start a Lunch.
Salad was quite common and reminds me of any puja / functions, Green / Kosambari and Chana Usli, these were just Oki.
Coming to the starters they were plenty

1.Banjara Baby Corn: Baby Corn marinated in spices and cooked, Spicy and Too hot but tasty.

2.Tandoori Fruit Chat: Sweetness in fruits and spicyness on Tandoor, I guess you can feel the taste right?

3.Sabudana Tikki: It was dry and hard , But the taste was good.

4.Masala Vada: Another south indian style food avauoable in lunch menu’s, Even this was dry and hard.

5.Gobi Pakoda:A bit Oily and not much tasty.

6.baby Potato:Masala was just added to boiled potatos, not much tasty.

Live Chaats Counter was good and fresh, Tried a bite each of Sev potato puri and pani puri. Sev was crispy and overall a good one.

Coming to the main course we had mutiple options, Panner and Vegetable chetinadu was asual and tasted normal and they were fresh and hot, pulagora was good, but Avial my first taste of this kerala dish was simply awesome and all time fav Dal Tadka

I had the above with NeerDosa , it was bit stickey and not salty as well, but it was tasty with Avial. Kulcha was a bit hard to bite and it tasted good with Paneer Kurchan, Paneer was juicy and curry was too good .

They had different kind of rice specialities , Had a spoon of Bisi Bele bath , Pudina Rice, Nothing can beat my mom’s Bisi Bele Bath, I can just say it was good, Pudina rice was good , but not spicy . The best was Dal Tadka with Veg Pulov and White Rice, It was really good, Had two serves of white rice with Dal, Omg!!! was the Feeling.

Tasted the Rasam and Curd rice a spoon each for the taste and review, Rasam was simply so good, feels lite after having so many dishes.

Desserts were plenty, I eat less sweets or bit away from the Desserts section, You can see in the attached photo on how many verities were present,I ate Rasgulla and Mango Ice Cream. They were not toooo sweet but good. Mango Pastry was tasty and small cubes can be glupped 1 every second.

Barjari Oota

Bharjari Oota, Hesaru Thakante Ide (Goes by the Name)

It was Reunion of old office mates after a very long time, 3 of us Only.

After discussing whtr to go for a Buffet or a Normal A La Carta Restaurant, it was Bharjari Oota the final decision.

Sunny Saturday noon, Difficult to find place in Gandhi Bazaar for parking, Sme how managed to park the bike and reached the place.

We were asked to buy tokens for Lunch and a wait time of 20 minutes.

Service Hall was in Floor1 and Floor3, We reached Floor1 and showed the bill and were asked to wait and were given table 1st come 1st Server basis.

It was tooo hot and temperature was around 40 and less space to wait as well.

After 20 minutes we were given a our Table and it was a wedding dining hall experience in the Hall..

Coming to the food, They serve Lunch over a Banana Leaf, We get a complimentary water bottle.

They started off with Soup, Two choices Tomato and Coriander, Made the right choice, Coriander Soup was hot,Spicy and fantastic. the best Coriander soup i have ever tasted, It was served in a small glass. DO NOT MISS THIS.

Then they served salt,Nallikai (GooseBerry) Pickle,Sweetcorn , Black Eyed Beans and Beans Palya(Side Dishes) and PineApple Gojju.

All 4 were right up to the mark.

While i was enjoying the taste of soup, they served Obattu, i do not prefer sweets, but it was served before i could say no. Good i did not say NO, After a long time ate a wonderful Obattu, Sweetness was balanced well and it was really good.

Then comes chutney and Mini Masala Dosa, Chutney was fresh in that hot weather as well, Mini Masala Dosa was Oily,Taty and it was just like size of my wrist, Potato filling was good and i managed to eat three.

Then came two North Indian curries, Mix Veg and Dhal and they served Pulka/Chapati, It was dry and the only low point of this meal is this, But curries were very good.

This is followed by Coconut Rice,Pulao and Pachadi, I had this OMG feeling when i tasted Coconut Rice,Fresh and less spicy, Got this served two more times (1 serve is one Scoop).

Fryums were served as well. Not Oily

Followed by White rice, Sambar, Rasam. Sambar was spicy and had enough vegetables

Rasam was hot and spicy

Mixed curd rice was served, It was sweet and fresh.

This is followed by a Scoop of our chioce Ice Cream @ Ground Floor.

All the above is UnLimited, Cost is 150 rs, It was more than a WORTHY SOUTH INDIAN MEAL.

I will definately not have breakfast next time and visit this place and have another feast.

I request the Managment to please make arrangements for people waiting on stairs and if the food is served in a closed AC Room, It will attract more than what you are serving now.

Andhra Cafe

Andhra Spicy Food.. Loved the ambiance..

Well it was a team lunch we planned to go for and this was the place for some spicy food. Loved there idea of keeping food in those clay big pots. I am vegetarian and you people must be wondering what andhra food I would eat?? Well it was a unlimited Biryani feast.. We could order Unlimited Biryani, it will be served with starters and buttermilk/soft drinks. I along with another colleague of mine went for Unlimited veg Biriyani combo, to start off it was spicy soup/rasam was served as welcome drink, it was HOOOOT, but too good to ignore it. This was followed by Baby corn manchuria, cooked perfectly and tasted good with the soup. Next comes the maharaj Biryani.. Looks yummy in the pic below, tastes the same as well, quantity was huge.. Coming to the taste it was awesome. Masala was just perfect and rice was not sticky, it was fresh and hot.. Easily finished two full bowls.. Inbetween two to three spoons they served buttermilk in glass bottles which adds up hunger. Perfect combination.. If you wish to have a unlimited Biriyani and plan to go home after lunch/dinner then this place is a must visit..

Would love to eat again with a perfect company..

Karigiri Refreshments

Love to give 5* for that Old Lady giving tokens after token and people feasting the tasty breakfast. It was during a office workshop I had visited this place and had time for breakfast, decided to drop in to this small place. Initially I assumed that it was a small eatery selling idli and Vada, but once I saw or tasted the food I could tell that they put lots of efforts to serve people in Rajajinagar.. I had Idli Vada, Bisibelebath and Vangibath across two days for breakfast. All these three dishes were worth for what ever I paid for, more than the money taste of these dishes were awesome!! Sambar was thick and not watery, idli was soft and Vada was not oily, Bisibelebath was simply superb with the boondhi and chutney, I feel it was iyengari style.. If you are in this area and it’s breakfast time.. Then do visit this place.. Enjoy the homely food and atmosphere as well.
